This class is ideal for those in or about to enter Preschool, Kindergarten or ESL learners as it is designed to reinforce the numbers 0-10. This class strengthens one-to-one counting skills. Students will partake an interactive story called Chicka Chicka 1 2 3 as it aids with both sequential and backwards counting as well as number recognition skills. Students will learn how to identify numbers, count, put numbers in sequential order and stick numbers onto the tree.
Encourage your child to identify each number and count items to aid their number skills.
1 file available upon enrollmentKindly note that NO file is needed for this class. The attached file is merely a welcome picture. Parents, use any materials you have available to you for the follow items:- ✔️ Cutout a few green palm tree leaves and glue it or staple it on the top of the tree (toilet paper or paper towel roll) to have it ready for the activity. ✔️ Stickers: numbers 0-10 ***Don't have the supplies? No problem! Pick one option from these alternatives.*** • Write out the numbers on a piece of paper. (That way, your child can point to them.) OR • Write out numbers to make flash cards. (That way, your child can find the numbers and show it.) OR • Bring a number book so your child can show them. OR • Your learner can use their fingers to show us how many.
The teacher will ask comprehension questions to check for understanding and use the craft activity as a form of assessment.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
