Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this one time class, students will review adding coins' values.  The teacher will demonstrate how to add coin values.  Students will practice adding coins' values with the teacher to get the total value.  Students will also practice on their own.  Students should have experience with adding the different values of coins and need review.  Students should know coin names for penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half a dollar and their values.  Students should also know how to add numbers.  Students who know the coin names for penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half a dollar and their values could do well in this class.  Students who have experience with adding the value of coins and money to get the total value could do well in this class.  Money is a lifelong skill so let's practice adding coin values!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
