In this class we will be going over the value of the different coins and dollar bills. We will learn how to count money and how to figure out different ways to use coins to equal a certain price (eg: two dimes and a nickel equal a quarter). Learners will also figure out what exact cash they will need to buy certain items and what kind of change they should get back after other purchases. I like to teach using the I do, we do, you do style. I will work through examples. We will go through examples as a group, and then learners will complete problems independently where I will be available for assistance. During the we do and you do parts, your learner will have plenty of time to speak with other students if they choose to do so.

Hello, my name is Seana Mohr!
I am a certified K-6 teacher and am passionate about teaching reading, writing, and math to students in Pre-K through third grade. I believe that learning should be fun and try my best to keep lessons engaging and interesting. I have been working with children for 15 years and have done everything under the sun. Most recently, I have spent time as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher, math and reading tutor, and ESL teacher. I know that every student is unique and with the right tools and strategies they can reach their full potential.
