The learner will focus strengthening their reading comprehension and writing structure skills. They will be able to review on the grammar they might have learned in school in put in real-time practice. By the end of the course, students will complete a simple story. Class sessions will include a number of practical topics. Lessons will include: Sight Words Vocabulary Words Sentence Structure Style Reading a short passage that includes the sight words and vocabulary. The learner verbally practice using sentences to display reading comprehension. Writing sentence practice to display reading comprehension. Here is the weekly breakdown that we will cover for this course: Unit 1: Reading Comprehension and Sentence Practice Week 1: Vocabulary and Sentence structures Week 2: Reading passage and identifying different types of sentences within a passage. Week 3: Practical application workshop: Use of vocabulary learned in week one to write a passage and to have in class conversations with classmates. Week 4: Reading comprehension session- Analyze and explain the main topic of a story. Unit 2: Reading Comprehension and Sentence Practice Week 5: Vocabulary and multiple complex sentences structures Week 6: Reading passage and identifying complex sentences within a passage. Week 7: Practical application workshop: Use of vocabulary learned in week to write a passage and to have in class conversations with classmates. Week 8: Reading comprehension session- Analyze and explain the main topic of a story. Unit 3: Reading Comprehension and Writing Workshop Week 10: Review vocabulary from the previous classes and grammar rules Week 11: Review and introduce new vocabulary. Read passages and identifying complex sentences within a passage. Week 12: Reading passage and identifying complex sentences within a passage. Week 13: Story writing: Chose a topic and creating the introduction for a story Week 14: Story writing: Writing the rest of the story and making corrections.

Hi! My name is Tricha and I am a Physics and Mathematics teacher. I have been an educator for over a decade, having earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Florida Gulf Coast University. In addition, I have a license as an Engineer Intern, and I have taught high school Physics for a number of years and worked in the South Florida Water Management during my time in university.
Outside of STEM disciplines, I also have a strong and lengthy experience is teaching ESL to students from East Asia both in the classroom and online. I currently hold a TEFL certificate.
A fun fact about me: I am learning Mandarin Chinese and I love to travel to different countries. I even had the opportunity to climb the Great Wall in Beijing! I also love driving motor scooters and drawing. I look forward to teaching your learner in the classroom!
