Initial lesson is usually to get to know the students and the areas that they can use improvement or where they feel they need to strengthen certain skills. From there we work on building and supporting the skills that are learned in school while also learning practical tips and tricks that can help students become proficient readers. We will work on developing context clues, increasing vocabulary, reading with purpose and efficiency as well as better fluency. We will also aim to learn tricks such as process of elimination, using prior knowledge, context clues amount other useful tools. Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and a masters of business administrations.
For younger students I tutor students in math and reading comprehension. My goal is to give students multiple tools and tricks to build their confidence to tackle any problem. With one on one sessions I can better understand the students needs and build lessons plans to cater to them. I am a mother of three and understand that each child has individualized needs in order to succeed.

For students interested to learn more about financial literacy I offer a variety of topics to go over including (but not limited to)
1. Financial Literacy and economics - what is and how it affects our everyday lives
2. Introduction to accounting - What is accounting? What are financial statements?
3. Business Management - What is business management? Why do we need to make these important decisions?
