This is a 50-minute tutoring session for students who need help in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry or Calculus.
Class Experience
US Grade 7 - 11
I offer tutoring sessions for students who would want more help in Pre-Algebra, Algebra- Pre- Calculus, Trigonometry and Calculus. I believe each student has the potential to be successful in math and my goal is to break the stigma that “math is too hard.”
Students will practice math skills that include the following:
Pre-Algebra -
Variable, integers, order of operations, algebraic expressions, one and two-step equations, proportions, percents, probability, geometry, and linear...Students will have an opportunity to strengthen their math skills under the guidance of a teacher. After each session, students will leave more confident, more prepared and have a more positive outlook in their journey approaching Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry or Calculus.
I am a former certified (grade 6th to 12th) Mathematics teacher. I taught and tutored math for a number of years and I am very passionate about it!
Homework will be given at the request of the parent or learner. Each homework assignment should take about 30 minutes.
Students will need paper, pencils, and a calculator. If tutoring Geometry, graphing paper is very important.
The learner will be informally assessed in class as we work through multiple problems. Throughout the lesson, the teacher will gauge the student's understanding.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
