1-1 Reading Comprehension and English Language Arts ( 30 Min.)

As a licensed teacher for over 30 years, I have had the opportunity to support and engage students with diverse learning needs.   I strive to inspire a lifelong love of reading in every student. My approach is supportive, encouraging, and student-centered. I seek to understand each learner’s unique needs and adapt my teaching to fit their learning style. I’m intuitive and responsive, creating a safe, engaging space where students feel confident to participate, ask questions, and grow. My goal is not only to improve reading skills but also to build self-esteem and foster curiosity through meaningful discussions and connections to the text.
      My passion is literature. I believe stories make concepts more palpable to children. Stories teach students valuable lessons, empathy, and give them the ability to see the world from different perspectives. 
      When I have time, I like to travel, experience different cultures, and learn the history of people and places. I am also an animal lover! I have two dogs, have worked with animal rescues, and fostered cats and dogs for years.
