2 Units
5 Lessons
over 5 Weeks
Unit 1: The Skeletal System
Lesson 1:
The Human Skeletal System
Our bones give us support and shape.
They work together with our muscles so that we can move. Students will:
* learn the basics about the human skeletal system via a recorded teacher presented slideshow and an interactive Nearpod lesson containing a 3D skeletal system that students can manipulate and explore.
* take a fun, game-like quiz to test knowledge.
* engage their fine motor skills with a skeletal system craft.
Unit 2: The Muscular System
Lesson 2:
The Muscular System
We have different types of muscles and each has a special job to do. Students will learn about the human muscular system via teacher presented slideshow and interactive Nearpod lesson. Students will engage their fine motor skills by completing a muscular system craft.
Lesson 3:
The Circulatory System
Your heart is a muscle. We have veins and arteries and our blood carries nutrients and oxygen throughout our bodies. Students will learn about the human circulatory system via teacher presented slideshow and an interactive Nearpod lesson. Students will engage their fine motor skills by completing a circulatory system craft.
Lesson 4:
The Digestive System
What happens to that food we eat? Students will learn about the human digestive system via slideshow presentation by the teacher and an interactive Nearpod lesson. Students will engage their fine motor skills by creating a digestive system craft.
