In this fun, interactive class, students will explore vowels like "a" in "cat" and "o" in "dog" through simple easy to follow lessons and activities that are super fun and engaging! Students can have fun learning while becoming super readers with each fun activity. Ready to unlock the magic of short vowels? Let's go! This class focuses on the short vowel sounds of a, e, i, o, u. Short vowel knowledge is fundamental to reading success because it underpins the basic phonics skills needed to decode words. When children grasp short vowel sounds, they can break down words into their component sounds, making it easier to blend and identify words accurately. Students will be using the annotation tool to circle and match during our Zoom meeting and may need assistance.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have some knowledge of letters and letter sounds. They do not need to know every letter but they should know some.
