In this 5 week live course, students will learn about interesting parts of the body (eyes, teeth, hair, fingernails and ears) and create a fun, fine motor skills coordinating craft.
Class experience
Week One: Eyes *Eyes are organs but what is an organ? *What protects our eyes? *What is a pupil and why does it change size? *Much more! Students will learn fun facts about human eyes via interactive teacher presented slideshow and class discussion. Students will improve their understanding of some interesting human body parts while they engage their fine motor skills creating a weekly coordinating craft.
I have been teaching children for more than 8 years. I love learning, art, and sharing my passions with children.
Students will need the following for the weekly craft: Week One: 1 Piece of black paper 1 Piece of yellow paper (or another light color) Printables from classroom Glue Scissors Black crayon Paint (whatever color student would like the iris of the eye to be). Paintbrush Week Two: 2 Sheets of Red Paper (or any color you have) Printable from classroom Black marker Glue Week Three: One paper plate Yarn of any color (this will be hair so whatever color student would like the hair to be) Paint (this will be skin color, so whatever skin color the student would like to use) Glue Scissors Crayons Printable from classroom Week Four: Colored paper (any color; whatever color student would like their hands to be; enough to make 2 hand prints on) One piece of black of dark blue construction paper Marker (any color) Colored Paint (if child would like to make their fingernails colorful) Paintbrush Printable from classroom Scissors Glue Week Five: Printable from classroom Colored paper (any color) Yarn Scissors Glue Crayons

Adult assistance may be needed for various aspects of the crafts. Students will be using scissors and may need help.
