Learning Goals
Students will explore the life of Edward Teach, known as Blackbeard, and analyze his role in the broader context of Caribbean piracy.
Students can describe the conditions that led to piracy and explain the significance of key ports and trade routes.

Parental Guidance
This class will discuss the criminal behavior of piracy. We will also discuss the death of Blackbeard in an age-appropriate manner.
Nearpod, Blooket, and Gimkit will be used as outside resources during class. A link will be provided and accounts are not needed for these resources.
