Come join us as we take a fun and fascinating walk through the history of the United States one state at a time! In this interactive class, we’ll go beyond dates and battles to uncover the unique stories, people, and culture that make each state special.

We’ll explore questions like:
🧭 Who settled each state, and how did it become part of the Union?
🎖️ What important events, battles, or conflicts happened there?
🌟 Which famous people came from each state, and what are they best known for today?
🎵 What kind of music, food, inventions, or industries shaped its culture?

And of course, we’ll sprinkle in some fun trivia too!
🍗 Which state made it illegal to eat fried chicken with a fork?
🥔 Who grows the most potatoes or sweet potatoes?
💡 Which state gave us Spam?
👩‍🎨 Which state seal was designed by a woman?

From major milestones to quirky facts, this class brings history to life through a mix of stories, culture, and surprising discoveries.

We’ll follow the journey in the order that each state joined the Union, building a timeline of America as it grew, one state at a time.

Perfect for curious learners who love history, geography, culture, and trivia—this class is designed to inform, inspire, and spark a lifelong interest in the rich tapestry of the United States.

The order of the class is listed below. We will cover each state in the order that they joined the Union. 

            - Each week is an independent class. You pay for each week that you would like to join. You can pay for each week that you choose to attend class. There is no start or end date, so feel free to come and go as your schedule dictates.
             - As this is a weekly subscription class, there is no homework. Each class will consist of a powerpoint lecture that consists of pictures, videos, music, and lecture.

Parental Guidance
This is an American History class, so there will be discussions of slavery, racism, discrimination, and some discussions of violence. All topics will be discussed at an age appropriate level.

Master's Degree from Louisiana State University
I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions.  I have a passion for history, organization, reading, and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.

I am also an Outschool ACE Educator, which means that I continually seek out ways to improve my teaching skills, learner experience, and knowledge.
