Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 5
Throughout this course, you will explore the history of the United States. But it's not just about history. You will also explore the value of public service, the traits of good leaders, and other important themes such as geography, economics, civic responsibility, and government.

This Social Studies course is designed to be flexible. You can start any time during the academic year and explore a new theme in United States History each week. 

This class will include multiple viewpoints while discussing and learning about historical events and people.

Live classes will include storytelling, slides, primary sources, discussion, and games.  

Optional homework assignments will be assigned after each class.

Learning Goals

Learners will be able to identify and describe significant events and figures in U.S. history.
Learners will be able to discuss the contributions and challenges of different groups, including African Americans, immigrants, and Indigenous peoples throughout American history.

Parental Guidance
Topics will include information about various historical events and subjects that can be sensitive in nature. All assignments will be kept in an age-appropriate manner. If inappropriate topics are brought up, they will be addressed quickly, and the discussion will be redirected.
