I have been teaching children how to play the violin for over 20 years, conducted youth school and community youth orchestras and played in community orchestras. I was trained internationally in Canada, Slovakia and the USA.
Young musicians should commit to practicing their violin each day for at least 15 minutes. This will help them progress evenly with the class. Some students practice before school, others find other times in the day. Consistency is key!
violin, finger tapes that show where fingers go, bow, rosin, shoulder rest, a can do attitude! We will go over this more in the first class and I will send a handout.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I write my own games and songs, as well as use music that is not copywritten.
