Beginner violinists meet every week to have fun while learning the basics of how to play the violin. Learner should be able to hold the violin and play on the A and E string.

Week 1: Welcome, review, scale game, bow game, introduce notes on the D String, learn Hot Cross Buns on the D String, and play 'Dancing Partners" Week 2: Welcome, review, D note Game. Play "Dancing Partners" with bow and add 'Long Long Ago" Week 3: Welcome, review, A and D note game. Play above 2 songs and add, "May Song" Week 4: Welcome, review, Rhythm Game, Play all songs and learn "Oh Susanna."
I have been teaching children how to play the violin for over 20 years, conducted youth school and community youth orchestras and played in community orchestras. I was trained internationally in Canada, Slovakia and the USA.
Homework Offered
Young musicians should commit to practicing their violin each day for at least 15 minutes. This will help them progress evenly with the class. Some students practice before school, others find other times in the day. Consistency is key!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
