Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, we will learn the art of magic! We will learn magic tricks, and then be able to perform them for friends and family. First, we will observe and discuss different magic tricks for inspiration. Next, we will choose which tricks we would like to learn. Each trick will consist of basic materials listed in the supply list, so the materials are items commonly found around the house. After learning the magic trick, we will practice it together, and then we will be ready to perform them for our friends and family! Finally, after each trick, we will engage in a discussion in which each learner will have the option to talk about it and ask questions. This concluding activity promotes positive discussion, strengthening communication as well as critical thinking skills.
Learning Goals
Comprehension - the learners will be able to understand the steps involved in the process of the magic trick.
Positive Communication - the learners are able to discuss and question the process and/or outcomes of the magic trick.
