In this ongoing course, we will take a tour of the United States of America. Each class, we will take a tour of one state and learn fun facts about that state! The content does not build, however, it is a complete course. So jump in any time...it is a revolving door of fascinating photos and facts about the United States of America. Each class, we will take a tour of one American state. This class meets twice a week, so two states will be covered each week. Since this is a circular, ongoing class, the schedule will repeat once the rotation is complete, so you can jump in any time and still complete a full course! First, we will observe and discuss landmarks, culture, and the topography of that state. Next, we will draw something special from that state After creating the drawing together, we will engage in a discussion in which each learner will have the option to share their artwork with the group and talk about it. This concluding activity promotes positive discussion, strengthening communication as well as critical thinking skills. This class is also available as a 1:1 private tutoring class. I specialize in Art Education but have taught core academic classes as well. I have over 25 years of experience in public, charter, and private schools, as well as homeschool and online education. Given my range of experience teaching students of various ages and ability levels, I have a well-rounded view of education.
