Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this ongoing weekly enrichment club, we will create ceramic pottery and sculpture using techniques such as pinching, coiling, molding, and slab building! The content does not build, however it is a complete semester course. Each week, we will observe and discuss relevant artwork for inspiration, and then we will create our own piece of pottery or sculpture. I will guide the learners through every step to ensure success. The artwork will be hand built during the class, but after the clay air dries, they are free to paint it on their own time in any style they want. After creating together, we will engage in a discussion in which each learner will have the option to share their artwork with the group and talk about it. This concluding activity promotes positive discussion, strengthening communication as well as critical thinking skills. This class is also available as a 1:1 private tutoring class.
