Class Experience

How do you take notes?
Do you find that your notes have holes and gaps?
In this 4 week flex course (No live video meeting) we will learn different note taking techniques, both on the computer and on paper. We will then have the chance to put those techniques into practice. Students will read a text sections and take notes as well as listen to a lecture.
At the end of the class students will take a test on what they read and hear the lecture about while using their notes and see if the method they chose was effective.
We will have weekly discussion topics on Flipgrid for students to engage with their peers and share ideas (no off-topic, crude, sensitive or bullying will be permitted).
I will be active on the discussion board as well as available to schedule live chats or office hours to answer questions.

Interaction:
Student-to-student: Through discussion questions

Student-to-teacher: Discussion questions, Flipgrid

I have a minor in History, a subject that requires a lot of note taking as reading texts and lectures are the basis. I found a note taking technique that worked for me and I want to help others find one as well.
