Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
In college, I found myself needing help on how to take notes! I took a class focused on effective note-taking strategies, including capturing key points from lectures, identifying themes, and studying for tests. That class changed my grades dramatically and taught me the importance of these skills. It also provided me with a solid foundation to teach these skills to learners. Combined with my professional expertise, I offer my own perspective on supporting learners in developing these essential skills.

I am a former special education teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching students with diverse learning needs. Throughout my career, I specialized in helping learners develop academic and organizational skills needed to succeed, including note-taking, executive functioning, and study strategies. My teaching experience spans middle and high school, where I have supported students in mastering skills needed to do well in the classroom and life.
