Beginner Level
Bonjour and welcome to Introduction to French Level 1B! This self-paced class covers the content of the second half of my Level 1 Beginner French live class. In this class, students will be introduced to basic French vocabulary, including weather, family, and animal vocabulary as well as the verb Être (to be). Students will also learn the second half of the alphabet and the pronunciation of several letter combinations. Grammar concepts are introduced, including adjective-noun gender agreement and possessive pronouns. Each lesson will include a handout to reference for vocabulary and grammar.
Learning Goals
Students will learn French vocabulary to discuss weather, animals, and family.
Students will learn the conjugation of the verb Être in the present indicative tense.

Être and Avoir
Students will review verb Avoir (to have) and be introduced to irregular verb Être (to be) and some basic adjectives as well as learn how adjectives can have gender; letters O-Q

Students will learn vocabulary for family members and practice the phrase "il y a" as well as the verb Être and basic adjectives to describe family; letters R-U
