In this engaging, ongoing class, students will receive an introduction to the French language and francophone culture. This course can be considered a fully year of French, or French I from a transcript point of view. Each class will have a culture component in addition to speaking, reading, and writing in the target language. As the class builds and students learn to speak, read, and write in the target language, the teacher will send exercises for the students to read/complete in between the class meetings. This will help reinforce vocabulary and words learned in class. The students will be sent a vocabulary list each week and they may use this to practice in between classes. Students will be expected to engage in the target language with the teacher and other students each class. The teacher will also check-in with the students via the Outschool class message board and will be available for questions on exercises in between classes.  This is a class for beginning French students, or students who have only had little exposure to the language.
