By the end of this one time class, students will be able to identify the emotion of anger, and they will have practiced various strategies to effectively manage and calm down when experiencing anger. ♦︎Introduction: 👋 Warm Introductions 🙂 Brief discussion about emotions and how they play a role in our lives. ♦︎Main Content: 😡Defining Anger 🚦Triggers and Signs 💫Anger Management Strategies This class offers an excellent foundation for addressing the topic of anger. By acknowledging and discussing this common emotion, it aims to destigmatize anger while equipping children with valuable techniques for them to practice.

Hello, I'm Alison, and I'm thrilled to be here to guide your child on a journey of learning important life skills. With over 16 years of experience as a School Counselor, Special Educational Needs Coach, and School Social Worker, I'm dedicated to teaching social, emotional, and well-being skills to children and young people.
During the last decade, I've worked as an international school counselor. I frequently conducted individual and group sessions covering a range of topics, including social skills, anger management, self-regulation, executive functioning, self-control, ADHD/Autism support, and understanding / responding to strong feelings.
I have been teaching social, emotional, well-being and character development for most of my career. To support this work, I have been trained in and utilize various accredited social and emotional programs, including Zones of Regulation, Kelso's Choices, and Second Step. These programs have also played a key role within my lessons as they promote emotional intelligence, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
I have spent a number of years working with students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus of my work was on developing their executive functioning, social skills, and academics.
