Hello, I'm Alison, and I'm thrilled to be here to guide your child on a journey of learning important life skills. With over 16 years of experience as a School Counselor, Special Educational Needs Coach, and School Social Worker, I'm dedicated to teaching social, emotional, and well-being skills to children and young people. During the last decade, I've worked as an international school counselor. I frequently conducted individual and group sessions covering a range of topics, including social skills, anger management, self-regulation, executive functioning, self-control, ADHD/Autism support, and understanding / responding to strong feelings. I have been teaching social, emotional, well-being and character development for most of my career. To support this work, I have been trained in and utilize various accredited social and emotional programs, including Zones of Regulation, Kelso's Choices, and Second Step. These programs have also played a key role within my lessons as they promote emotional intelligence, empathy, and problem-solving skills. I have spent a number of years working with students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus of my work was on developing their executive functioning, social skills, and academics.

This exercise may include a practical task, a craft activity or a self-paced worksheet, the activity is designed to reinforce the course material. I suggest discussing the exercise with a family member, as it offers a chance to review topics covered in the lessons.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
