In this one time class students will learn about the life and music of one of the most famous Baroque composers, George Frideric Handel. Students will learn about the Baroque period of music, listen to some of Handel's most famous works, and even learn a few musical terms. We will listen to excerpts of his music, find out why Handel had to hide his music from his father, and why he gave himself the nickname "The Great Bear". This class is filled with beautiful music and fun facts about this German-born English composer. Come join our class and learn something new today! Parental Guidance
George Frideric Handel did write sacred music but no religious beliefs or opinions will be discussed in this class. This class will focus on Handel's secular music, operas and concertos.
