Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Integers are like whole numbers but also include their negative counterparts. In this four part class we will learning all about the "Positive and Negative of Integers". We will talk about number lines, absolute value and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide these "integers".

You will need at least 3 pieces of white computer paper, a pencil, scissors, stapler and crayons or colored pencils. You will be creating a flip chart with all the rules needed for integers. Your flip chart creating can be used for years to come as the rules for integers never change. Once you learn these rules they can be applied to a multitude of situations including fractions, decimals, algebra and even money.

Students will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout class. Lessons are taught using google slides and note taking tips are also discussed. Students will have a small amount of work to complete outside of class. More work to reinforce a lesson can/may be given if an individual student needs extra practice.

Students should be proficient in basic math computations (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing) before taking this class.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. If you don't see a time that works with your schedule, please contact me via Outschool and include a few times (and the time zone you reside in) that you are available. I hope to see your in class soon! Mrs. Fox
