Class experience
What will be taught? In our 13 week Music History course we will learn about the Medieval Period to 1945. Specifically: Medieval Period, Renaissance Period, Baroque Period, Classical Period, Romantic Period, Impressionism, and Modern Period to 1945. Students will gain an understanding of Music History from the Medieval Period to 1945.
Mrs. Erickson holds both a Masters Degree in Music (Piano) and and Masters Degree in Special Education. She has owned and operated Erickson Piano Studio, located in Missouri, for 25 years.
Homework Offered
Learners will be asked to assemble trading cards before class meetings. Learners may be provided brief recordings to listen to in our classroom.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Scissors will be used in this class and parental guidance is suggested. Our class will occasionally show a brief video of listening examples. The Medieval and Renaissance listening examples are teacher created and will be posted in our classroom. I may sometimes suggest optional pieces to listen to in class. Learners may listen to these pieces in a variety of ways: via the Internet, home music collections, or some other way of choice, or not participate.
