Middle School Math: Everything You Need to Know. This class was created using the curriculum for grades 6–8 and is a good prerequisite for Pre-Algebra. The bulk of the material in this class deals with the Number Sense skill set, which forms the foundation for all future math classes. This course prepares students to be mathematically literate as well as prepare them for Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and future math classes.
Homework Offered
Homework and practice problems will be given each week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Because of the small class size, it is possible to assess students during class to determine competency. If a student needs extra help they may be given some extra math resources they will need to complete before the next class.Grades Offered
Paper, pencil, crayons or colored pencils. I will also send worksheets and other materials out to students as needed. A headset or headphones with microphone (earbuds also work) helps to cut down on background noise and makes it easier for students to participate in class discussions.
