In this ongoing cooking class we will make various culture filled soul food dishes inspired by the African Diaspora and African American culture every week.

Throughout the African American and African diaspora, food takes on as many different forms and traditions as the people who make it up. Enslaved Africans brought their cooking and farming traditions to the Americas, and those were then transformed by the conditions they faced. Depending on the recipe oven mitts may be needed
Some of the recepies require 2-24 hour marinating period for best results. Instructions will be given before class (seasonings) please try to marinate within this time frame for best results. Knives will be used or needed for produce cutting Recipes may need the use of oven or stove Air Fryers will be used depending on the recpie , since every air fryer is different be sure to go over how to use specific functions with your learner before class
