My style of teaching brings a tremendous amount of passion and excitement, as this is one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. The pace will be upbeat, but on target with the needs of the class. I offer a lot of talking points and instruction using a discussion and lecture-style experience with additional visual aids. Critical and creative thinking are encouraged and reinforced in this class. Questions are always welcome and I will always remain available for questions until...
You will learn to use the multiclassing rules to make the best, most efficient, and effective character you want. You will learn how to combine different classes and races to take advantage of their synergy. You will learn how to best use the character's skills and abilities in the game to have the most fun.
I've been an avid D&D player and Dungeon Master since 1978. I'm fiercely passionate about the game and have been teaching classes on D&D for over 2 years here on Outschool. I understand the game inside and out and feel I bring a deep understanding to all of its facets.
No homework is assigned, but I would highly advise reviewing your skills, abilities, and features to master how they are used within the game mechanics of combat and challenges.
Learners will not strictly be assessed, but I will be checking in with everyone to make sure no one falls behind or has unanswered questions.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We won't cover any topics that would be deemed mature content or otherwise inappropriate.
We may refer to the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, dndbeyond.com or other D&D source material. None are mandatory for the class.
