Class experience
In this class, we will focus on the role of the Dungeon Master. Learners should be familiar with the game, rules, and general mechanics of play in order to get the most out of the class. Though anyone interested in being the DM will benefit, some things might be harder to grasp if the learner isn't already familiar with playing the game. After this class, the learner should have a solid introduction to some of the challenges and responsibilities they will have in taking up the DM role. I will prepare them to start out on the right foot of their first DM'd game.
I've been playing D&D for 40 years and spent most of it as a Dungeon Master. I've played with all different ages and styles from the 1st Edition of D&D to now, the 5th Edition. I have a solid foundation of knowledge of the game and good storytelling skills and think I present them in a way that anyone can understand.
Homework Offered
Many resources and directions to outside material will be given to inspire further research and investigation. There is a huge amount out there and I will provide the best resources I have found to help newer and experienced players alike.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
