In this fun, 3-day camp, learners will learn how to build Day 1: Introductions, Barriers & Bricks 101, Advanced Building Tools Day 2: Glitch-out builds, Elevators, and other cool building hacks! Day 3: 20-minute* Build Challenge! Students will have 20 minutes to use what they have learned to build something of their choosing. It could be a cool creature, a small glitch build, an aesthetic room, etc. After that, each student will have about 5 minutes to lead a tour and show off what they built. *The building challenge share time may vary depending on class size.

Parental Guidance
Students will have to friend the teacher in order to participate on the private server. Because of the nature of Roblox, other students can see their Roblox gamer tag in the game while playing.

My name is Christine, but in 2021, many of my learners started calling me by the nickname Ms. Wish after my gamer handle. I love it and it stuck!
I am a former private school classroom teacher and current homeschooling mom. I have taught students from infants to senior citizens in various subjects, though I have a special affinity for video gaming, music, math, theater, and language.
On Outschool, I teach mostly social gaming clubs as I have found a need for learners to socialize while playing their favorite online games in a safe and supervised environment. In these classes, students build important social skills needed to have fun and stay safe in an online gaming environment. I am a strong believer that much learning happens through play! Like Maria Montessori said "play is the work of the child." These days much play happens in the virtual world, and as a lifelong gamer I choose to embrace it!
I have had a passion for teaching since I was in 3rd Grade and was selected for a program that allowed a few students to tutor 1st-grade students in reading and math. Since then, I have worked as a teacher/tutor my entire adult life. I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies with a concentration in music and have received training in the Kodaly Method of teaching music to young learners. My instrument of choice is my voice.
I have a gentle and playful teaching style built on mutual respect. My favorite quote is from Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, "Careful the things you say. Children will listen. Careful the things you do. Children will see and learn."
When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking and rediscovering the wonders of nature with my son.
