## Become a Hero
Join a noble band of adventurers on a quest to save a nation, discover hidden treasure, and build their legend as the greatest heroes the land has ever known. This heroic fantasy role playing game takes place in an open world filled with magic and mystery. You are as likely to join a party which is trying to stop rampaging clockwork robots as one which is in tense negotiations with a god-emperor.

Will you become a noble defender of the weak? A rogue, dragged reluctantly down the path of altruism? A power-hungry mage, gathering followers to enact your devious plan?

Your character's destiny is in your hands.

Well, you and the rest of your party.

## Learn to Play
Once you register for the class, you'll receive a link to our Campaign Manager, which includes a basic guide to the 5th edition D&D rules, your character sheet, and a detailed guide to the lore of our open world setting. Every spell you cast, every monster you fight, every magic item you discover is tracked and linked to both the core rules of D&D and the lore of The Covenant Age. Experienced players will find a rich and mysterious collection of lore to dive into, while new players will be able to get live help during meetings or review game rules outside of meetings with a simple click.

Learners will be rewarded for teamwork, creative conflict resolution, and supporting one another as they explore the world, find long lost treasures, and defeat vile foes. As the Game Master and Guide, I will gently push learners towards collaborative problem solving whenever possible, encouraging them to explore creative options rather than depending on a rote list of of attacks, stealth checks, and magic items.

*Note that while the story of The Covenant Age takes place in an original fantasy world, players are welcome to use all official D&D rulebooks and supplements when creating their character. New characters enter the campaign at 1st Level, but we will get you caught up with the rest of the party quickly.

## Weekly Schedule
This is an ongoing adventure in an open world where player actions influence local, national, and world events. The story advances at the speed of character actions and player interest.
Generally speaking, each session will feature:
- Out-of-character sharing of plans and goals.
- In-character role playing, combat, or exploration challenges.
- Opportunities to explore your character's connection to the party and the world for bonuses on dice rolls.
- Q&A with an experienced game master.
Learning Goals
Learners will be encouraged to practice creative writing through sharing rich backstories, character journals, and alternative adventure ideas in the Outschool classroom.
