Read books in order to improve understanding of everyday English.

Intermediate Level
In this class, the teacher will lead a book study, focused on reading comprehension, vocabulary development and writing. Reading will primarily be done outside of class.
Students will become familiar with slang, idioms, phrasal verbs and vocabulary. Students will deepen their reading comprehension skills by answering text-based question.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English, a Masters degree in Elementary Education and certification in English as a Second Language for grade 6 to college level. I currently am an adjunct professor at a college teaching English as a Second Langauge.

Students will be informally assessed based on their understanding of grammar and reading fluidity.Grades Offered
Upon request students can be tested to see their level of understanding through testing on vocabulary and story.
Students should have a basic understanding of English.
Students will receive vocabulary and comprehension questions at the beginning of each class.
