Get ready to dive into the world of Wonder by R.J. Palacio in this interactive and exciting class! This class isn’t just about reading—it’s about understanding what makes the story truly special, and learning how kindness, hope, and perseverance shine through each page. Each week, we’ll read 12 bite-sized chapters (only 1-3 pages each) at home and meet once a week to explore the story together. Every session is packed with exciting discussions, group activities, and hands-on writing projects! You’ll join other readers to: * Unravel what motivates the characters * Spot conflicts and discover how they get resolved * Track the plot as it twists and turns * Explore hidden themes and symbols that make Wonder unforgettable In addition to discussing the book, we’ll dive into the art of writing! You’ll create essays and reports on powerful themes like: * Kindness and how small actions can change lives * Hope and how it keeps us going * Perseverance through challenges * How to Review Literature like a pro Want to share your writing with the class? Fantastic! If not, no pressure—you can always get thoughtful feedback from your teacher and peers privately. We’ll walk through drafts, revise together, and celebrate everyone’s final projects. We are so excited to bring you this course! Here is a breakdown of the reading that will be done at home between meetings. Week 1- We will discuss Chapters 1-12 Week 2- We will discuss Chapters 13-24 Week 3- We will discuss Chapters 25-36 Week 4- We will discuss Chapters 37-48 Week 5- We will discuss Chapters 49-60 Week 6- We will discuss Chapters 61-72 Week 7- We will discuss Chapters 73-84 Week 8- We will discuss Chapters 85-96 Week 9- We will discuss Chapters 97-108 Week 10- We will discuss Chapters 109-121 This is more than just a book club—it’s an adventure into literature, where stories come to life through discussions and writing. You’ll become part of a supportive learning community, gain new skills, and experience how stories like Wonder inspire us.

Wonder is a a best-selling novel about a 10-year-old boy, Auggie, who has a rare congenital disorder called mandibulofacial dysotosis that causes facial deformity. Auggie's a cool kid who wants to be treated like every other kid.
