Welcome to this course on abandoned cities and ghost towns from around the world! Each week, students will learn about different places that have been abandoned by the residents living there. These locations have an eerie feeling and mysteries that surround their emptiness. We will dive into the history and stories that explain why each of these places has been completely abandoned. Many of these locations remain untouched and people are kept away out of fear of contamination or harmful conditions, but some have become popular tourist locations. Students will be given the chance to share if they would like to visit these abandoned locations. Students will learn about two or three abandoned places through an interactive slideshow each week. There will be images, short video clips, and discussion questions to guide student learning. Students will also get to participate in fun interactive activities such as Kahoot, Blooket, and trivia. Please send me a message if you have any questions. See the Syllabus for a weekly breakdown of the different places students will be learning about. ** Please note, you do not have to take Part 1, to take Part 2. The content in this course is separate from Part 1.
