If so, this is the class for you! Each week, we will look at events, people, inventions, and moments that defined history that occurred in that week. Students of all knowledge levels are welcome as I will provide background information on each week's topics. We explore interesting, unique, and bizarre things from history. This class is intended to be educational, fun, and engaging for students. As a history teacher, I love juicy, unique stories from history, so I will try to include things each week that will interest different historical learners! History is not about remembering boring facts associated with a simple date, it is diving deeper and understanding these moments and why they changed history. In each class, students will be introduced to different historical figures, events, inventions, and moments that defined history or are just really interesting. Students will be guided through an interactive slideshow presentation where they will get to answer and ask questions as we move through a variety of topics. At the end of our class each week, students will get to participate in a fun and interactive game of Kahoot to test their knowledge of what they learned. Students are welcome to join at any point in the course.
