Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner Level
NOTE: Students MUST have a DSLR camera in order to participate in this course (Canon & Nikon both have many excellent models).

This 4 lesson Self Paced course will teach students how to use the settings on their DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera.

Do you have a "fancy" DSLR digital camera but have just been using the Auto setting? Don't be afraid of the manual settings anymore! You can do SO MUCH MORE with your camera when you know how to use all of its tools.

In this course I will walk you through how to use your camera's settings, as well as teach you how to take better photos by improving things like composition & lighting.

This is a SELF PACED class - which means there are NO LIVE CLASSES. Instructional videos will be posted for your learner to watch, as well as optional classroom discussion. Students will be expected to also post photos of the work they have completed each week. The more your learner participates the more value they will get from this class!

Please see the attached Syllabus for details on each Lesson.

Supply List:
* Students MUST have a DSLR camera in order to participate in this course (Canon & Nikon both have many excellent models).
* Please also bring a copy of your camera manual or find access to it online. This will be very helpful, because every camera model is slightly different when it comes to buttons & menus.
