수업 소개
Children will be taught mindful movement yoga activities. Children will be taught techniques to enhance their social-emotional well-being by focusing on their feelings, breathing, and coordination. Each class will integrate yoga poses, breathwork, and mindfulness exercises to promote self-awareness, relaxation, and emotional regulation. Some topics that will be covered will include: 1. Introduction to mindfulness and its benefits for children. 2. Awareness and expression of feelings through movement and yoga poses. 3. Breath awareness and techniques for calming the mind and body. 4. Coordination and balance development through yoga sequences and activities. 5. Self-regulation strategies and coping skills for managing emotions. This is an example of how the class will be structured: Welcome and Introduction (5 minutes) Setting the tone for the class and introducing the theme of the day. Mindful Warm-Up (5 minutes) Starting with breathing exercises and gentle movements to prepare the body and mind. Yoga Poses and Sequences (10 minutes) Guiding students through a series of yoga poses and sequences that emphasize feelings, breath, and coordination. Mindfulness Activities (5 minutes) Incorporating mindfulness activities such as guided visualizations, relaxation techniques, or creative expression exercises. Closing Circle (5 minutes) Providing a space for reflection, sharing experiences, and reinforcing the day's lessons. How will you teach? I will use a child-centered approach, using age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate language and engaging activities to teach mindful movement yoga. Each class will include clear instructions, demonstrations of yoga poses, and opportunities for the student to explore and express themselves. I will create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where the child feels comfortable sharing their feelings and experiences. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is interactive, supportive, and nurturing. I will foster a sense of curiosity and exploration, encouraging the child to listen to their body and honor their feelings. I will incorporate elements of playfulness and creativity to keep the classes engaging and enjoyable. I will also provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to help the child build confidence and self-esteem in their yoga practice. Learner Interaction: In this 1-on-1 class there will only be interactions between student and teacher. In this class instruction is delivered through demonstration and guidance. The student will have opportunities to share experiences and feelings during class, either verbally or through simple discussions.

Students will gain a foundational understanding of yoga poses. Students will be able to understand their social-emotional development and well-being. Students will gain an understanding of how to improve their balance and coordination. Students will be able to share their increased imagination and improved creativity with family. Students will be able to practice what they have learned outside of class with family.

As this is a yoga class children will need an open workout space, proper footwear, a water bottle, and adequate stretching beforehand. Children need to be properly supervised during class to prevent injury.
