Homework
4+ hours per week. In all Wild About Cooking and Dinner Time Chaos classes, learners have homework. The homework is to taste test what they have made and to clean up their work area.Class Experience
US Grade 8 - 11
🎃 🍁 🎃Fall is here and so are pumpkins! In this flex class where students will have the opportunity to make a delicious pie in a week to create dessert for their family and learn about pumpkins. The recipe will allow the students to make the recipe from scratch and adjustments can be made to fit dietary needs. During the video lesson, students will have the opportunities to work on creating the recipe while following along with the teacher created video which will allow students to practice new skills and refine old skills. Or watch the video and then make the recipe. In addition, students will work on the skill of ingredient planning and grocery shopping. Learners will also have a chance to learn more about the world of pumpkins! This class will be a combination of video demonstration from teacher created videos, discussion. 🎃 🍁 🎃 Class material is posted by 9 am Pacific Monday-Friday: Monday: Kitchen safety Tuesday: Grocery list and menu planning Wednesday: Pumpkin pie time! Thursday: Discussion Friday: Share your results (Please note that after the first day, material can be uploaded earlier upon request) *A note on how I teach a flexible schedule class: -In a flexible schedule class, there are class video lessons, discussion questions and activities, posted on a schedule. All material and interaction will be posted within the platform. -Students can post videos, copies of their work and or photos and respond to each other. -My goal is to respond within 24 hours to each student's post

-be able to describe the process of making the perfect pumpkin pie
-be able to explain the importance of making an ingredient list
-be able to practice grocery planning

Parental Guidance
By enrolling in the class, families accept full responsibility for their learner's safety which includes but not limited to kitchen materials and the ingredients.
As this is a baking class, students are required to have an adult working with them in order to complete each of the recipes and extra projects.
Class videos will be hosted on Erin’s private YouTube channel with the links so that learners can view the videos in the classroom.
