No official assessment, but hopefully our desserts will look close to each others.Class Experience
*****NOTE***** As all parties will need to purchase ingredients, please sign up at a minimum of 24 hours in advance. This class is designed to teach students to make a number of different desserts, as well as: * measurements * safe cutting skills * how to read a recipe * oven and fire safety * staple items used in dessert baking Each week a new dessert will be presented to the class with students either watching how to prepare real-time or preparing the item as time allows then. A list of ingredients will be given a few days before the class begins. The students will then do the recipe in class, but also be given the recipe should they want to make the dessert again at another time. Each student will have the option to make their dessert personal as long as the basic recipe is followed as grounding (meaning they can choose to add peanut butter into their chocolate chip cookie dough if they desire). This class is open to all and no background knowledge is required. Just come with a desire to learn to bake. Classes will be weekly on Saturdays at 12:30pmCT Sat, Jan 7, 2023...Brown Butter Wedding Cookies Sat, Jan 21, 2023...Fudgy Flourless Chocolate Cake Sat, Feb 4, 2023...Orange Cranberry Bread Sat, Feb 25, 2023...Tres Leches Cake Sat, Mar 11, 2023...Andes Brownies Sat, Mar 25, 2023...Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies More classes to be offered based on interest. And student will also have the ability to suggest items they wish to learn to make as well as the weeks go by. This fun experience is meant to expand the student's baking knowledge all while having fun learning to make awesome treats. Come along and join the bake!

Teacher expertise and credentials
As a child, mom made sure that all her sons knew how to bake and cook. This necessity became a passion that still flows in my veins today. I worked in the food business while in college as well as after, as both a server and chef. I work a small dessert catering business on the side also named, "That Dessert Guy". I feel I am qualified to teach any age that wants to learn, student or parent, and do so in a way that not only will the student know the basics, but will want to keep on baking.
