Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
The animated show from Nick Jr. "Team Umizoomi" educates and entertains kids as characters Milli, Geo, and Bot use their mighty math powers to help children solve problems. In this class we will use the lessons found UmiZoomi story books to learn the names of shapes and how to use them to make objects. We will read a new Umizoomi story the first 3 lessons and talk about the shapes, numbers and patterns found in the stories. Students will also practice thinking through solving simple problems. Each lesson students will work on solving pattern problems. After watching the class video, students will complete and assignment. For their assignments students will be asked to make their own patterns to post to the class page. Students will comment of the patterns of the other students on what comes next on their patterns. The assignments are designed for students to interact and participate.
