What This Class Is: ------------------------- In this ongoing pre-k class learners will practice math skills week. Young learners shouldn’t be expected to sit longer than 15-20 minutes at a time, so this is a very appropriate time limit for focusing on math each day! Pre-K Math will rely on repetition each day for your child to practice math skills needed for kindergarten. Each week we will work on a special math skill. Students will identify numbers. Students will count with one-to-one correspondence and count each day. Students will identify basic shapes Students will predict and complete patterns. Students will identify months of the year and days of the week. But not memorize the order. Students will subitize or recognize sets of numbers up to 5.
