Among us is a fun interactive game. Most students will be crewmates working to complete tasks on a spaceship . But some of us will be imposters, working to sabotage the ship and defeat the crewmates. Join me as we work together to complete tasks and to try to find the imposter or imposters among us! While working to complete tasks everyone will be on mute so that we can work in secret. The secretive aspect of this game makes it more fun. When a meeting is called, students will unmute themselves to discuss their thoughts on who the imposter is and what evidence they have again them. Players will have to use their deductive reasoning and communication skills to work as a team to stop the imposters and vote them off the ship. Good sportsmanship will always be encouraged and required.

We will play multiple rounds of the game in the time provided in class so multiple students will have a chance to be imposters. The game will randomly select imposters so I cannot guarantee everyone will have a turn being the imposter. This will be a private gaming room for safe game play. Students will receive a code at the start of class to enter the game. I will always play in the game. We will need at least 3 students in the class in order to activate the game. If we do not get enough players enrolled in the class, or if the minimum of 3 students do not come to class a full refund will be issued.

Students should have 2 devices for the class. One device for zoom and one device to play Among Us. For example, they can take the class on Zoom on a PC or tablet, and they can play the game on a tablet, phone, game system or another PC. The mobile APP is free. The game should be downloaded before class time so that they are ready to play when they enter class. They will not be enough time for much troubleshooting during class so please have the game downloaded and ready prior to the start of class.

If you enroll multiple students they will each need their own device to play the game but may share a device for zoom if you wish. Causation there is sometimes a glitch in the game when using Apple device where one one device can join a private game if both devices are using the same Apple ID.

I hope you will join me and me figure out who the imposter. It could be you!
