What This Class Is: ------------------------- In this ongoing pre-k class learners will practice math skills week. Young learners shouldn’t be expected to sit longer than 20 minutes at a time, so this is a very appropriate time limit for focusing on math each day! Pre-K Math will rely on repetition each day in order for your child to practice math skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. Each week we will work on a special math skill. Students will identify numbers. Students will write numbers Students will count with one-to-one correspondence and count each day. Students will identify basic shapes Students will predict and complete patterns. Students will learn the order of months of the year and days of the week. Students will subitize or recognize numbers. I can provide extra practice upon request. This can be a worksheet or a list of activities you can do with your child.
Paper, and writing utensil to practice writing the number of the day.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Progress reports will be given upon request.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
