What Will Be Taught? This course introduces and reinforces early math concepts for young learners through engaging Minecraft-based activities. Students will develop foundational skills in counting, addition, patterns, time, and number lines by interacting with the Minecraft world in hands-on challenges. How Is Your Class Structured? Each class follows a structured approach: Introduction – A brief explanation of the math concept. Minecraft Activity – Hands-on building and problem-solving tasks. Discussion & Reflection – Reviewing what was learned through group sharing. How Will You Teach? I will guide students in real-time within Minecraft, demonstrating key concepts through interactive builds. Students will actively engage in problem-solving tasks, while I provide step-by-step instructions, hints, and real-time support based on their progress. What's Your Teaching Style? My approach is student-centered and interactive, encouraging exploration and creativity. I integrate fun, structured challenges that help students understand math concepts in a practical and enjoyable way within the Minecraft world. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact with You? Lecture: Short concept introductions at the start of each class. Interactive Minecraft Games: The core of each session, where students build and apply math concepts. Discussions: End-of-class reviews where students share their strategies and discoveries. Real-Time Feedback: Immediate guidance and support during the building process.

Supply List
If the student wants to join the world and play together they will need: - Minecraft BEDROCK edition - which is available on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Mobile, Nintendo Switch, and more! - Signed into your Microsoft account (so we can add each other as friends) If the student wants to join to work on their world and talk about Minecraft with others but NOT play on the server, the above is not required. Note: Bedrock version does not work on Mac.
