This is an introductory class for students wanting to begin or enhance their skills on the violin. We will be establishing their level of playing (absolute beginners welcome!) and offer parents the chance to sign up for private lessons.
Class experience
In this class, learners can expect one-on-one lessons with a professional violinist. Classes will be tailored to your individual levels, and repertoire will be recommended based on previous experience - although absolute beginners are more than welcome as well! In addition to offering tips for maintaining good posture and tone, I will be working with you to meet your goals on the violin. Students will review the parts of the violin, the basics of good posture, and how to make a beautiful sound on the instrument.
Students will need a violin and bow, shoulder rest, rosin, and an electronic tuner.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
