This course is the first of four sessions and is designed for students ready to learn math at the second grade level. Students should be able to write and count to 100, skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, and be able to follow along with on-screen instruction. They should also know how to annotate, use the chat feature, and pin videos on Zoom. - Students will be able to identify and describe patterns, strengthen number sense and number permanence, master addition facts through ten, utilize number models, explain place value to the tens position, show patterns in numbers, identify numbers as being greater than or less than other numbers, and count dimes, nickels, and pennies up to $1.00.
I am a veteran second grade teacher with many years of experience. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Your kiddos will be in good hands, I promise!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class will require the use of scissors, so parental guidance is needed.
