InformalClass Experience
Students will continue learning how to play the recorder. They will build on their knowledge in Recorder 101 - B, A, G, simple rhythms and playing along with backing tracks. Students will learn new notes - C, E, D, F and continue with simple rhythms (add 16th notes) and extend their knowledge by playing longer pieces. Class is structured where students learn all the pieces together but can be called upon to play individually depending on time and comfort level of the student. Students can interact with me and with each other (students are mostly muted during the class but can be unmuted to ask questions or play with me). Students should know B, A, G and basic rhythms to take this class or have taken Recorder 101. Lesson 1 - p. 10-14; review B, A, G and rhythms learned in Song Book 1 Lesson 2 - p. 15-18; learn C; pieces with eighth notes Lesson 3 - p. 19-22; slurs with eighth notes Lesson 4 - p. 23-30; add 16th notes to pieces; students learn pieces using new notes

I teach flute (class and private), piano (class and private), recorder, fife and harp.
I was the harp teacher for Hillsborough County Public Schools for twelve years.
I have also taught band, flute ensemble, church choir and general music.
