I have the student play the assigned material at the beginning of the lesson.

Class Experience

Students will meet with me in a pre-lesson Zoom session to determine what book will be used for the class. Topics covered in each class will include: warm-ups, method books, solo and etudes. We will begin the lesson reviewing previously assigned material and then move into the new material. We will make the class as interactive as possible. Students will play by themselves and with me. My teaching style is to encourage and patiently help the student improve. We will use power point and the lesson material that is assigned. I would also like students to use some sort of practice sheet or book.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of harp playing - finger and hand position, playing with the 2nd finger, playing with brackets with 2 fingers, 3 fingers and 4 fingers. We will review basic music notation and rhythm as well.
