In this class, beginners will learn the fundamentals of music, including notation in the treble clef, rhythm, beat, and how to play simple songs on the recorder.
Class Experience
In this beginner class, we will learn the fundamentals of music by learning to play the recorder. Weekly topics will be covered as follows: Week 1 - Introduction to the recorder. We will learn how to produce a good sound (embouchure), and how to play two different notes, B and A. Treble clef will be introduced along with music notation. Week 2 - New note G will be introduced. Rhythm and beat will be incorporated. Week 3 - We will learn simple songs using the notes B, A, and G. Learners will...
